Hola familia! I'm Èlder Nielson, and I have MORE than a year in the mission. You guys know how much time I've waited to say that? I can't even believe it. I'm one of the old guys in the mission now haha. It's been the craziest year of my entire life. I've seen so many miracles that I can't even begin to count them. It's been quite the growing experience. I remember getting to Esmeraldas and wondering what in the world I had gotten myself into? Then getting to Peter, my first baptism, and feeling the joy of the mission. Then to Marco and my family in Pisuli. It has been the most incredible experience of my life. This week was a good one. We started a new method to work with the members that we think is going to work really well, so we are excited about that. We had a solid attendance yesterday which made us super happy, and it was a good week. Also we had a stake activity with family history work, and they showed the movie meet the Mormons, so I FINALLY got to watch it. I enjoyd it thouroughly in Spanish. The Activity was solid as well so it was fun. Well, I was reading through some random scriprures the other day, and I read one that got my attention. It's in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, "For my strength is made perfect in weakness, most gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ might rest upon me. . . Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christs sake, for when I am weak, then I am strong." I love this scriputre, the mission has a way of humbling you to the dust. In a hard sector where nobody accepts you. You have do absolutely everything for a miracle and wait patiently until it happens, but it does and when we rely on Christ to help us we do become strong and we do see these miracles. I've seen them for a while now, and we are never left alone in hard situations. I love this work and I hope the second year doesn't pass me by too fast,. I love you guys, I'll send pics. Hasta luego.
